The Department of Community and Family Medicine (DFCM) at the University of Toronto and the Ontario College of Family Physicians (OCFP) have created a new series of patient resources that teams can use to help patients make sense of the latest guidance around COVID/Omicron.
The resources include plain-language questions and answers about COVID management, testing, isolation and more. They offer patients and the public trustworthy advice about protecting their health and how primary care providers can help.

COVID-19 VACCINE FOR CHILDREN 5 TO 11 YEARS
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has now been approved for use in children aged 5 to 11 years by Health Canada. Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect children from getting COVID-19. The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) will begin offering the vaccine at community clinics November 26, 2021.
